That's individualised content, such as events they went to, messages they've been sent, news items just for trainers, course reviews, forum posts etc.
You can see how all this works by heading to our home page GoE.ac/ and just logging in.
The idea behind all this was to have lots of different channels of information and to bring it all together in one place. Instead of browsing event listings, course pages, news pages, product pages, store pages, forums, messages, feedback pages, etc - you go to the home page and have all the latest updates come to you.
And this has been really successful - visits to the GoE website are up by 20% on last year as more people login and engage with the website.
So that's all been about making a news feed FOR YOU, but today I've been working on making a news feed ABOUT YOU.
This is a stream of news items about you for other people to see what you're doing, a bit like having your own newsletter or news page.
Already I've got the following working...
π The news and articles you post through the GoE (this was all there used to be!) β
π The qualifications you've taken with us β
π The reports and photo from events you've been at or organised β
π Reviews and feedback either you've posted, or what clients/students have said about you β
π Events you've just announced β
π When you're a top trainer last month β
To see how it all works, visit your member website or check out some other members:

π lornafirth.goe.ac/news/
π ilkawandel.goe.ac/news/
I've also added your newsfeed to the 'About Author' section under every article and library item you've posted on the website.
There are a couple of things that need fixing, such as making sure that the news page is showing in the right language, but already I think it's a great improvement.
Doing this has been in the back of my head for about ten years, so pleased to make progress on it!
