Music for peace

An offering for peace.

The past few days have seen horrendous scenes of violence and looting unfolding through several of the major cities of the UK. Communities have had their hearts ripped out as gangs of people left trails of destruction and devastation as they indiscriminantely wrecked peoples homes, cars and businesses.

I have been found it extremely hard to create anything during the last few days so this short piano piece isn't quite perhaps what I would like it to be but it was begging to be writen, an improvisation dedicated to peace in our cities on this night.

The improvisation was accompanied by the vision of a swan flying out of black clouds of smoke amongst a city sky. I play and I pray for peace tonight, may we work together and use this situation as an opportunity to create a healthier and more cohesive society.
