The Call to the Third Field

This is not a training programme. MESc candidates do not simply study Modern Energy, they advance the Third Field through their personal contributions. Under the personal supervision of Silvia Hartmann, you will be able to conduct original research, return your own findings, and contribute to the development of the Third Field.

Entry Pre-requisites

MESc candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: Minimum 5-year active membership with the GoE.
• Qualifications: Must hold Modern Energy Foundation (MEF) and Star Matrix Masters (SMXM).
• The Enlightenment Threshold: Access to a personal Star Event where the dynamic force of the Oceans of Energy became 100% real.

Programme Structure: Structural Organic Research

The MESc is a part-time, 12-month commitment consisting of 12 core research topics to keep the program focused on producing high quality experiences and discovering new patterns throughout.

Rather than setting all 12 topics up front, the program will start with the most central investigation for the Third Field:

• Topic 1: Enlightenment. This is a class of Star Events when the dynamic force that binds the multiverse stops being a matter of faith, and becomes a matter of lived experience. It is quite literally the entrance point to the Oceans of Energy, and the foundation for the existence of the Third Field.
• Topics 2–12: These will be discovered organically. As a research cohort, we move in response to what we learn, guided by the data, the "Logic of Love", and the emerging most exciting discoveries of the Third Field.

Your Contribution

As an MESc Candidate, you are an active researcher. Your commitment includes:

• 12 Star Stories: One documented original event per research topic to add to the Star Library.
• 12 Articles: Written for the GoE journal, The Energist, sharing your findings.
• The Round Table: Attendance at the monthly candidates' peer-support forum.
• The Star Thesis: Your primary contribution to the Third Field.

The Spirit of the Modern Energy Scientist MESc

This programme is conducted entirely in the spirit of Modern Energy: Your happiness matters. There is no Paradigm 5 style “academic” stress or dour slog here. We work with our natural fascinations, activating curiosity and intelligence to learn more about the Star Events in theory and practice, whilst actively celebrating the unique gift to the Third Field that only you would have to give. For the first time in human history, we are bringing together a group of scientific researchers who know how to raise energy, understand their own emotions and unlock their own abilities to shine, exploring the structure of the best experiences human beings can have. This is true science, leading directly to NEW applications, methods and techniques which can and will be shared with all of humanity.

APPLY FOR THE 2026 1st Modern Energy Scientist MESc COHORT

In 1998, the Association for Meridian Therapies The AMT was established to create a space for the research and application of energy based treatments. From the first official certification programs onward, this endeavour was never about any one single method or technique; instead, it was about the discovery of how energy works for human beings and how we can use this understanding to make people happier – to move them up the Modern Energy Chart.

The first major breakthrough in this endeavour was the 2002 introduction of EMO Energy In Motion. EMO created the foundational knowledge base and operating system for Modern Energy in theory and practice – energy, information & love as three lenses describing the same phenomenon. EMO also established that emotions are the true sixth sense of homo sapiens, which represents the paradigm shift from the materialistic/spirit denying Paradigm 5, to Paradigm 6, Love & Logic.

EMO provided for the first time a logical way to work with the energy components of existing problems, and only the energy components, which finally cleared up the endless confusion between energy work and healing, and placed the practitioners rightfully shoulder to shoulder with practitioners working in the body and mind fields, establishing the Third Field in the body/mind/energy body triad.

EMO brought with it a fundamental re-orientation in the relationship between the Modern Energy practitioner and their clients in a non-hierarchical, co-operative endeavour, and defined a goal for energy work – the Energized End State, quite literally a transformational state of being.

It was already known from Project Sanctuary that there were these transformational experiences known as “threshold shifts” - we play for the threshold shifts is the phrase used to explain the purpose of Project Sanctuary and SuperMind experiences.

In the tapping therapies such as TFT and EFT, there was the real occurrence when a “tapping miracle” would happen, a moment of true transformation, but it was rare and nobody quite knew how to achieve this reliably. 

When EMO brought in the Energized End State, it became clear that although these transformational experiences were known by different names, they were in fact the same thing – a Plus Ten experience on the Modern Energy Chart, which was introduced formally in 2009 and adopted as the Third Field's first scientific instrument. The SUE Scale, the subjective version of the objective Modern Energy Chart, became the practical measurement device to help people understand not only in which states their own living energy bodies were, but most importantly, to give a direction, for a movement up the scale and into better states of being towards the Plus Ten.

• The Tapping Miracle from EFT

• The Threshold Shift from Project Sanctuary

… are all Plus Ten Star Events when a real reorganisation in the living energy body has happened, and “Now, things are possible that were never possible before.”

These Plus Ten Star Events have another name.

They are the Eurekas of scientific breakthroughs and intellectual discoveries.

With this understanding, it became clear that the way we think about not just energy body healing, but also about teaching and learning in a whole new way.

The Guild of Energists

In 2016, and with the development and real life feedback from trainers, practitioners, members and the general public, the process of building the Third Field began. Following historical precedent, whereby a guild is the seed foundation for a field of science that does not yet officially exist, the AMT officially changed its name to The Guild of Energists, The GoE, and changed to a Learned Society with not-for-profit status in the United Kingdom. AMT News became The Energist, the official journal of the Third Field.

The Rosetta Manuals

The understanding of the Plus Ten Star Events led to a complete re-organisation of the GoE's training materials, a process that took five years overall, from the transmission of dry “knowledge” and “facts” to creating an environment where not just the students, but also the teachers, practitioners and trainers would be in the best position to experience Plus Ten Star Events of their own. This is practically represented by the training materials, which were completely re-designed from text heavy manuals to full colour illustrated workbooks with the core concepts laid out clearly and simply.

This gave the individual trainers the space to bring their own personality and insight to the training programs whilst retaining a beautiful structure. It allowed the GoE to create training manuals in many different languages through the revolutionary Rosetta program. It delighted the students who could understand the principles of working with Modern Energy and finally, the new training programs were the basis of outreach and connection with communities all around the world.

SuperMind - The Third Pillar

SuperMind, the application of the research Project Sanctuary, was added as the Third Pillar in Modern Energy education and the entire focus was now no longer on how do we heal, but on how we get to experience more Plus Ten events, which are the healing, which are the transformation, which are the personal miracles we are looking for.

Modern Stress Management & The Power of the Positives

To move up the Modern Energy Chart, we need more energy, more information, more love. We need to ascend to ascend. Switching Modern Energy techniques to directly utilising the Power of the Positives represented a complete game changer in bringing Modern Energy to the public.

Instead of focusing on what is wrong, and getting lost in personal psychotherapy which is difficult, lengthy, risky and inappropriate for many situations, by focusing on empowering Positives, Modern Energy can be safely and successfully employed in schools, in kindergartens, in companies, in institutions, in refugee camps, in public demonstrations, creating Star Moments for the participants where their own living energy bodies respond and “energy” becomes finally real.

Finally, here was the “Trillion Dollar Stress Solution” which made sense, was structural, fully energy based and represented the missing handshake between stressed people and the Third Field as a direct, practical, actionable, measurable solution.

Working with the Power of the Positives gave us the straight royal road to the Plus Ten.

Everyone needs more energy, information and love.

Star Matrix Is The Way

The importance of the Plus Ten moments became more and more obvious, as reports from the field came in and in 2019, the first research program was launched to investigate the Star Events a person had already experienced. This was Project 11 and represented an absolute threshold shift in the development of the Third Field.

Star Matrix ends the disconnect between a person's conscious self concept and what had really happened in their lives; the direct results from the original research project were nothing short of astonishing. From this research StarLine Therapy and eventually, Star Therapy was developed, a completely new form of “life healing” that is beautiful in practice for practitioners and clients alike. A five year longitudinal study showed that Star Matrix does indeed change the energy average and provides a permanent improvement in the self concept.

With Star Matrix, The GoE had its fourth pillar in place and now a cohesive path in Modern Energy Education was established, beginning with the Modern Energy Foundation course which provides essential Modern Energy theory and practise, and enables students to choose their own path going forward, following their fascinations, through the specialist introduction and Masters level courses. 

Paradigm 6 & The New Science

In 2024, Silvia Hartmann retired as the Director of The GoE in order to focus on the establishment of the Third Field as an essential missing field, non-negotiable in the quest for the health, wealth and happiness of homo sapiens.

She wrote Paradigm 6: A New Philosophy of Love & Logic to provide the axiomatic  bedrock for the Third Field.

The Third Field of Modern Energy now had its own:

• Epistemological Coherence
• Body of Knowledge
• Scientific Instruments
• Methods & Techniques
• Journal
• Education
• Trainers
• Practitioners
• Members

There was one final component that the Third Field required.

The Modern Energy Scientist

Silvia Hartmann says, “Our Third Field was built on Stars – my Stars and those of so many other wonderful Modern Energists for 30 years. Now, we build the structure for the NEW STARS to go into the future.”

Modern Energy is perhaps the most important field of scientific discovery at present, with the greatest contribution of any field towards human health, wealth and happiness.

Modern Energy is most certainly the most exciting field of scientific research as we are right at the beginning, right here, right now.

We have discovered so many wonderful things which have helped so many people already – what else is possible when we focus on the information contained within the Stars, the most energy rich, information dense, important experiences a human being has in their life?

Every single existing science is built not on statistics, not on peer reviews, but on the Stars of the scientists themselves. That is the only time and the only way there are literal threshold shifts that change the world of humans. Scientific progress in any field is always built on the Stars.

The Oceans of Energy are vast. By focusing on the Stars, we have a direction for our research, and this is what our new Modern Energy Scientists will be investigating.

The GoE sits firmly outside Paradigm 5 academic structures by design; we are not allowed to call our doctorate program a doctorate program by law and therefore, we return to the original meaning of “scientist” - a human being who explores reality absolute, and brings back their Stars, to enrich us all. 

The First Cohort 2026

The First Cohort of Modern Energy Scientist MESc candidates will begin their 12 month Star Quest in April of 2026. Not students on a training program, but active researchers under the supervision of the field's founder, Silvia Hartmann, they will add their unique perspective and their own lived experience to the ongoing development of the Third Field. New directions, new methods, new techniques arise directly from their Stars, as is and has always been how progress actually works in the real world, across the ages of humanity itself.

We are delighted to bring this evolutionary generator online, powered by living Modern Energy Scientists coming together at the round table, so that The GoE will continue to produce new methods and techniques in the future.
