It's time to submit your proposal to give a breakout presentation Sixth
Annual International Energy Psychology Conference (EPC-I 2004) on May 6-8,
2004! This is the flagship conference for the Energy Psychology movement,
having
attracted well over 300 attendees from all over the world this past year.
The
EPC-I 2004 conference venue is a beautiful desert oasis resort on the
outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona. We selected this site for the last two years
due to its
relaxing atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Conference attendees
overwhelmingly requested that we return to the Wigwam Resort because it
offers us all
the intimacy of a retreat setting (including truly beautiful Southwest style
meeting rooms), and all the amenities of a top quality resort with virtually
guaranteed sunshine and warm temperatures! With the Grand Canyon, Sedona
and
many other amazing spots within a few hours drive, it's the perfect
launching
spot for a great vacation too so bring the family.

This year we have already scheduled plenaries with Dr. Bessel van der
Kolk, a leader in the field of trauma and neurobiology and Dr. Doris Rapp,
an
authority in the field of toxins and chemical sensitivities. They have also
agreed to do breakout sessions so that conference participants will have
ample
time to hear how their field integrates with Energy Psychology. Jerry
Wesch,
president of ISSEEM has agreed to do a plenary for us on the Scientific
Basis
for Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine.

There will be room for up to a maximum of 48 breakout sessions. We
will also have evening fun activities, including a presentation by Donna
Eden
and David Feinstein on the Energies of Relationship. There will be morning
warm-up sessions and three luncheons.

In addition to most of the outstanding presenters from last year, we
are
expanding our circle by inviting new talent, influential in fields
interrelated with Energy Psychology. This conference continues to provide an
unparalleled chance to network, build connections and share your
discoveries, innovations
and wisdom. We are especially looking this year for proposals to "teach the
basics" for new practioners of EP.

This coming year, you will have the same smooth and rewarding
experience
selling your books, manuals or other items through our extremely successful
professionally run conference bookstore. We will provide more information
about
this at a later date.

Conference Goals:

1) To keep participants at the forefront of the latest developments in
Energy
Psychology, including strong research and theory basis for the discipline of
Energy Psychology

2) To deepen participants' understanding of Energy Psychology as a
developing
complementary modality within the mind/body interaction framework

3) To explore specific means of addressing emotional/psychological distress,
as well as peak functioning, by using a range of energy-oriented approaches

4) To continue the conference's tradition of meeting these objectives in an
atmosphere of collegiality, collaboration, compassion, and fun.

Criteria for presentation selection:

Each proposal will be reviewed by ACEP's Education Committee and will be
selected on the following basis:
1. Purpose and relevance to the goal(s) of the conference.
2. Originality and innovation.
3. Completeness of your packet
4. Relevance to a multidisciplinary audience.

education credit for certified counselors through NBCC for all counselors,
MHC's and
MFT's, for social workers through AASSWB , for nurses through AHNA , and

The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) is an
international organization that promotes collaboration among Energy
Psychology
practitioners and researchers, and enhances this field's credibility with
consumers and
professionals. Energy Psychology is a rapidly developing field within
mind/body
psychology that explicitly, directly and methodically treats the human
vibrational matrix. This matrix includes the biofield that envelops the
body, the
energy centers (chakras), and the energy pathways (meridians and related
acupoints) as well as a number of other interrelated energy systems. Energy
Psychology treatments are increasingly used to alleviate psycho-spiritual or
mind-body
distress, and promote high level psycho-spiritual or mind-body functioning.
