EMO Case Story: Physical & Emotional Pain - Part One

I was seeing a 75 year old male patient in the office and noted that he had longstanding chronic abdominal pain, and was taking daily narcotics to combat it. The pain seemed to have started after surgery for ruptured diverticulitis done 4 years prior, and all of his physicians were baffled.

On the particular day that I was seeing him, he wasn't in a lot of pain. I asked him, "When you think ABOUT the pain, and all of the ways it has affected you, where do you feel that in your body?" He put his hands over the same area that is normally where he feels the pain when it is active. Incidentally, about 80% of the time, when I ask chronic pain folks this question, they feel the emotional charge in the SAME part of their body as where they are having the pain.

I took him through ET, we ran it several times until he reached the energized end state. I saw him back about 1 month later, he told me the pain was 80% improved and that he was off of all narcotics, and that when thinking about the pain now, it just doesn't affect him and grip him like it had in the past.

From my observations of using this with a number of chronic pain patients, it seems as if running the energy opens up blocked meridians, and looking at things in the converse, it seems as if some chronic pain is due to blocked meridians that are opened by running emotional energy through them.
