Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure

The Guild of Energists is committed to ensuring the highest level of care and professionalism from all of our Practitioners and Trainers. As such, all complaints and breaches of the code of conduct are taken seriously and investigated.

Making A Complaint

To make a complaint about a member of the Guild of Energists (GoE), please contact us stating your name, full contact details, the Practitioner in question's details, and the nature of the complaint.

Verbal complaints can be given, but only written complaints can be result in investigation and disciplinary action.

All complaints are kept highly confidential, and the complainant's identity will never be revealed to the GoE member in question unless the complaint cannot be taken further without the identity being revealed. In this instance the complainant will be informed before this happens and has the right to revoke the complaint.

Disciplinary Procedure

Once a complaint has been made, there are several steps of action that can be taken by The GoE, depending on the severity of the complaint and other impacting factors.

1) Investigation

Before any disciplinary action can or will be taken, The GoE will investigate the complaint. This includes requesting further information from the client, contacting the Practitioner in question. More detailed investigation can then follow if needed.

2) Disciplinary Action

If the investigation upholds the complaint of breach of the Code of Conduct, there several levels of disciplinary action.

1) Verbal warning
2) First written warning
3) Second written warning
4) Set-time membership ban
5) Life-time membership ban

The GoE's decision on complaints and breaches of Code of Conduct are final. If the complaint or breach of Code of Conduct is criminal in nature, then The GoE defers the case to the relevant authorities.
