GoE Welcomes EMO! - Information for EMO Members

The Association for Meridian & Energy Therapies warmly welcomes EMO members to our learned society. Please read on for full information on how this change benefits and affects you...

Alex Kent writes:

Dear EMO Members,

I’ve got some exciting news from the world of EMO for you…

With all the attention that The Association for Meridian & Energy Therapies has been getting lately thanks to the EFT & Energy Psychology Conference in November, we’ve decided to join forces and license EMO trainings, members and events through their learned society.

This will simplify our operations here at the office and allow us to continue promoting EMO and our members, whilst also safeguarding the technique that we all know and love.

What this means…

  1. For EMO Practitioners
  2. For EMO Advanced Practitioners
  3. For EMO Trainers
  4. For EMO Trainer Trainers
  5. For existing members of The AMT
  6. For non-members of The GoE
  7. Why the change?
  8. What about the website, www.EmoTrance.com
  9. What about the yearbook, Introduction to EMO
  10. What about the EMO newsletter?
  11. What about the EMO conference?

For EMO Practitioners

From 3rd October, you’ll be given full membership of The GoE and be qualified as:

  • AMT Full-Member
  • AMT EMO Practitioner

Your profile will be listed on the AMT’s website (https://goe.ac/) as well as on our own (http://EmoTrance.com/).

For EMO Advanced Practitioners

From 3rd October, you’ll be given full membership of The GoE and be qualified as:

  • AMT Full-Member
  • AMT EMO Advanced Practitioner

Your profile will be listed on the AMT’s website (https://goe.ac/) as well as on our own (http://EmoTrance.com/).

For EMO Trainers

From 3rd October, you’ll be given full membership of The GoE and be qualified as:

  • AMT Full-Member
  • AMT EMO Advanced Practitioner
  • AMT Trainer

Your profile will be listed on the AMT’s website (https://goe.ac/) as well as on our own (http://EmoTrance.com/).

You’ll be certified to teach EMO as before, but will also be able to teach other GoE courses that you have attended to advanced practitioner (or master practitioner) level.

One new benefit for all GoE Trainers (including EMO Trainers) is the forthcoming shared incentives system which will share out a proportion of a members renewal fee with the trainer that certified them. More information is here:

For EMO Trainer Trainers

From 3rd October, you’ll be given full membership of The GoE and be qualified as:

  • AMT Full-Member
  • AMT EMO Advanced Practitioner
  • AMT Trainer
  • AMT Trainer’s Trainer

Your profile will be listed on the AMT’s website (https://goe.ac/) as well as on our own (http://EmoTrance.com/).

You’ll be certified to teach EMO as before, but will also be able to teach other GoE courses that you have attended to advanced practitioner (or master practitioner) level.

You’ll also be certified to teach new trainers of The AMT.

For existing members of The AMT

Hopefully you’ll like only having the one annual membership subscription to worry about!

If you’ve got a number of days remaining with your membership of The Sidereus Foundation, then these will be added to your existing membership with The AMT.

If you are an GoE Trainer who holds an Advanced Practitioner of EMO qualification then you’ll be able to qualified to certify new EMO Practitioners and EMO Advanced Practitioners.

For non-members of The AMT

If you’re a licensed member of The Sidereus Foundation whose membership is up-to-date, then the number of days till your renewal will be copied over to your new GoE membership. At renewal time, you’ll be contacted by The GoE instead of The Sidereus Foundation.

If your membership of The Sidereus Foundation has expired, then we would love you to renew as a full member of The GoE so we’re offering a 1 month amnesty for you to pay the £40.00 (practitioner level or advanced practitioner) or £100.00 (trainer level) membership. Please visit The AMT’s renewal page here, agree to the AMT’s code-of-conduct, choose your membership level and click the renew button:

We need to close down the old membership software, so if you haven’t renewed by 1st November then that’s fine but you’ll need to retake an AMT live or distance learning training to be recertified.

Note: If you join before Friday, 7th October 2012 then you’ll be included in “Energy! 2012” which is the new GoE journal. It will be distributed at the November GoE Conference, as well as throughout next year.

If you are no longer practicing and require full-membership, then The GoE offers Associate Membership at a reduced rate of £25.00 / year. Visit the renewals page for more details.

Why the change?

The Association for Meridian & Energy Therapies has always believed that the best practitioners can choose between a wide variety of different modern energy therapies that they believe will be best for the client.

The GoE Meridian Energy Therapy Practitioner qualification has since 1998 offered people a majority of EFT combined with other ideas such as TAT, BSFF, EMO and any others that forward looking trainers might like to include.

With the success of last years Energy Psychology conference, The GoE decided that it must increase the number of trainings and qualifications it offers and not become a one-idea association. In the past few months, we’ve seen other modalities including Energy Cone become licensed to The GoE because good new ideas need time and resources to flourish.

EMO has attracted thousands of people to its simple way of letting energy flow in and out. We believe that the best course of action to make hundreds of thousands (and in time millions) discover our technique is by letting go of the day-to-day administrative tasks so we can spend more time promoting our members and trainers.

By joining with The GoE we’ll be a part of a recognised brand of high-quality and respected qualifications for people who work with meridian & energy therapies.

What about the website, www.EmoTrance.com

This will still be the primary focus for people finding out about EMO, its events and its members.

Your events and membership profile will also become available on The AMT’s website www.TheAMT.com thus increasing the exposure.

What about the yearbook, Introduction to EMO

We’ll be combining forces with The GoE to produce a new yearbook & journal called “Energy! 2012” which will highlight your membership details as EMO Practitioners, Advanced Practitioners and Trainers.

The deadline for renewing your membership, listing your 2012 events and submitting advertising is Friday, 7th October 2012.

What about the EMO newsletter?

We are going to join forces with The GoE to bring EMO news and features to an even greater audience.

Please continue submitting your news, articles and features to us here in the office and we’ll continue to promote them.

What about the EMO conference?

EMO 2012 will be our 10th annual conference and will celebrate 10 years of EMO! We can’t wait and with The AMT’s support it will return bigger and better than ever.

The details are:

  • Date: Saturday & Sunday 21st & 22nd April 2012
  • Location: Gatwick Europa, United Kingdom

Would you like to present at EMO 2012?

Please submit your applications to the office!

Best wishes,
