The GoE code-of-conduct requires all full-members of our learned society to take out practice insurance cover, providing this is available in the country they work in. This notice outlines the minimum level of cover required.

The GoE code-of-conduct is designed to protect both full members of our learned society, as well as members of the general public who engage their professional GoE qualified meridian & energy therapy based services. One of the key conditions in the code-of-conduct is that all full-members must be covered by practice insurance. This notice covers what we recommend to our members.
Professional members who work in the United Kingdom
The GoE requires that all full-members have practice insurance which includes Public Liability (eg: someone trips over in your office) and Professional Indemnity (eg: someone abreacts and begins litigation against you).
Professional Indemnity: Minimum £1 million, but £3 million or £5 million is recommended.
Public Liability: Minimum £1 million, but £3 million or £5 million is recommended.

Professional members who work in Rest Of World
Like UK full-members, you are required to have insurance for Public Liability & Professional Indemnity but only if this is available in your country. We advise you speak to your insurer in your country and ask them to recommend a cover suitable to offer you the best protection.
Standard Members
Standard members have no right to practise Modern Energy techniques professionally and are not required to adhere to our code of conduct, therefore they are exempt from the need for insurance.
