Robert Gene Smith has posted a YouTube video:
When you've been sick long enough, sick becomes your identity. People stop seeing you. They see the diagnosis. She has fibro. She has MCS. And you build a life around it. You find your community in the pain clinics and the waiting rooms. You bond over what you can't do. And then something shifts and some of those people don't believe you were ever really sick at all. "Nothing has helped me. So you couldn't have been that bad." Phyllis heard that more than once. And she said the same thing every time, not everything. You haven't tried everything yet. She started in November 2014. Housebound. The version of her that found my work on YouTube on a Saturday night couldn't have entertained the idea of leaving her own house. By February, her husband put her on a plane to Oklahoma City. By herself. For Level 1 eutaptics training. Three months. Same woman. On a plane. Alone. She says make it your daily thing, like waking up and using the bathroom. Just check in. See what's there. Address it. The reason people don't is because going back to painful places is hard. But once you go back and clear it, you never have to go back again. It's worth the time. It's worth everything. My Root Cause Reset workshop begins April 5th — four live Sundays where I walk you through exactly this process personally. https://linktr.ee/robertgenesmith (copy and paste this link into your browser) Come do this work.
