She came home from the funeral, sat at the kitchen table, crying and eating bread. Her brain linked the grief to the food. And from that day on, wheat became a physical reminder of everything she'd lost. That's not a food allergy. That's a memory that found a physical address. The body doesn't create symptoms randomly. It expresses what the mind is holding. Unresolved grief, unprocessed loss, a memory that never got updated, these don't disappear. They shape-shift. They find new ways to make themselves known.
