Robert Gene Smith has posted a YouTube video:
To the brain, depression is a good thing. Being sad and crying because of a movie... to the brain, that is a good thing. It is keeping you in alignment with your inner world. In alignment with your trainings from your past. In alignment with your mother, your brother, your sister, your aunt and uncle, your ex. Whoever shaped you. Because the brain has to create a model of the world in which you can maneuver. And it will keep you inside that model, no matter what. It is strictly a survival system. Now here is why understanding forgiveness, or not taking things personally, or any great spiritual philosophy โ why none of it changes the pattern for most people. Because logically understanding something does not reach the number one cause. The number one cause is internal neurological information. How your brain encoded, created, and organized the events in your life that it uses to produce sadness, anger, hurt, and pain. It is memories. It is the limbic operating system. And it runs underneath all of your insight, all of your understanding, all of your effort. That is what has to change. Not your thinking. The program. If you are carrying a sadness that has no clear explanation, one that keeps returning no matter what you try โ the Freedom From Sadness and Loneliness workshop is where we go directly to that program. Five live Sundays with me. May 10 through June 7. Comment WORKSHOP and I'll send you the details, or visit https://linktr.ee/robertgenesmith ๐๏ธ Full Episode 43 of The Robert Gene Experience is on Spotify and YouTube now.
