It is the past information already held in there that is creating the reaction. The movie just activated it. There are two models of the world. The lower model says: the movie made me feel bad. My dad screwed me up. My mom screwed me up. My history. My husband. My next door neighbor. My astrology sign. You are looking to blame. And when you live in the lower model, you have no power. You are a victim of the world. The upper model says: I am triggered by this movie. It is bringing up emotions from within me. Which means my mind has references creating this feeling inside me for a reason, for a purpose. That is mine. And what is mine can be changed. The lower model avoids all movies with love songs.
