Introduction - GoE Local Newsletter Project

Very exciting development for you...

The GoE already does a good deal to promote practitioners and trainers in a number of ways including via the main GoE website, the free GoE website given to each member, our network of peripheral websites, our huge social media presence, The Energist magazine (print and digital) and our publishing imprint DragonRising Publishing.

I'm also very proud of our educational, continued professional development and promotional resources given away through GoE Member Downloads, the comprehensive GoE Trainer's Guide, the energising annual GoE Energy Conference, your dedicated GoE Member Support manager Zoe Hobden, the active and supportive GoE Member Community Group, free-to-use protocols in several languages and also the advice we offer through our Trainer Mentoring service.

I know you're thinking that's quite a lot of advertising benefits to give you for just £5.00 ($6.00 USD) per month BUT we've come up with an interesting idea that we believe will take the local promotion of you and your services to the next level.

GoE Local Newsletter - Coming To A Town or City Near You!

Out of the 110,000 people on our database, about 48,000 people have active email addresses and 15,000 people have full postal addresses too.

What I thought would be really cool would be to take each person with an active postal address and email address, then find out what events and practitioners are near them and every month we'll let them know. Whilst we are there, we'll also tell them about latest GoE news (such as details on scientific studies, case stories, latest celebrities endorsing modern energy, etc) and also congratulate people certified in the previous month.

The GoE events can be anything from a three-day Energy EFT Master Practitioner course, or just an Energist Meetup like a tapping circle, coffee morning, networking group, etc.

As a clever touch, the system starts off searching a local area (10 miles) for practitioners and events, but then expands the search radius up to a few hundred miles. This means that the more events and practitioners near the recipient, the more local the newsletter gets, the more relevant it becomes and the more likely they are to take action.

This week the GoE trainers received a beta test of the newsletter, have provided great feedback (see right), have already added an extra 20 events to the system - and we've also seen a few people finally upload their profile images!

GoE Newsletter - International Edition

From September 2016, we've started to send an "International Edition" newsletter to the tens of thousands of people we don't have a full postal address for.

This will hopefully encourage them to update their address, or at least will keep them in the loop about latest news and announcements.

Frequently Asked Questions

A couple of common questions surfaced...

Q) Great idea. Can I have a <region name> edition?
A) As long as there is one person in <region name> then a newsletter will be generated for them that includes the practitioners and events near them.

Q) My area is very little. It would be much better for me and my events to be included in a bigger regional newsletter, ie by County or Country
A) It's more relevant to the recipient to plot their address and then look for practitioners/events near them "as the crow flies". That way, if the recipient is on the border (say between England and Wales) then they'll always be shown content geographically near them.

Q) I've trained X but they aren't showing on my local practitioner list
A) That probably means they aren't close enough to your home address to be shown. The more practitioners there are in an area, the more local the newsletter gets.

Q) I'd love the people on my personal mailing list to get this newsletter
A) Please send them a notification and ask them to contact us to be added to the list: GoE.ac/contact/

Q) Would it be better to send this out to people in country X in their own language?
A) Yes it would! We already support English, Turkish & German. If you'd like to provide a translation (about 120 paragraphs) then we can also use your translation to make your member website available in your language too.
