Alex Kent's Stories, Poems & Fairy Tales Book - OUT NOW!
Congratulations to our CEO Alex Kent for the release of his new book, Stories, Poems and Fairy Tales, which is now available from Amazon and DragonRising Publishing.
Alex, author of "BIG Ted's Guide To Tapping", wrote this new fiction book after being inspired by Modern Energy techniques such as SuperMind, Star Matrix and the Fairy Tale Formula, so we took the opportunity of asking him a few questions about how the book came about, who it is for and where he got his ideas from…
Interview With Alex Kent, author Stories, Poems & Fairy Tales
The Tale Of Two Kings
Q) Who did you write this book for?
My daughters are both my muses and my test-audience.
The stories in my book were written over the last eight years, so my daughters were between four years old and twelve years old.
Therefore, I would recommend this book for children of any age - and in particular to be read with parents together.
I hope that as our children grow up, they will want to come back to this book every so often, finding and rediscovering new stories that makes them smile or reminisce about what it was like being small.
The Golden Nugget
Q) How did you get into writing this book?
I used to think that I could never write a story book!
About 10 years ago, I really got into Silvia Hartmann’s SuperMind method, which was called “Project Sanctuary” at the time. This taught me how to ramp up the communication between my conscious mind and my Energy Mind, so I could ask questions and receive answers.
This was a game changer, because I could use this process to ask a question like “give me a landscape for a great story” and my Energy Mind would then take me somewhere, like a forest with gnarly trees.
The next question might be, “who am I?” and I would see this new character appear before my eyes. I can then ask more questions to find out how the story will develop.
Having children was also game changing, as my kids would ask to read the same books over and over again, so I got used to their tempo, rhymes and rhythms. In particular, I have to thank and berate the author Julia Donaldson for writing such incredible stories, which my children have requested to be read hundreds of times.
Her prose has a drum beat rhythm to them making them great for oral performances. I hope my Stories, Poems and Fairy Tales also have that magic when read out aloud.
Finally, I was also one of the lucky attendants of Silvia Hartmann’s Fairy Tale Formula workshop. This opened my eyes to writing stories that have meaning and are designed to help readers in the here & now.

Q) Where did the ideas behind these stories, poems and fairy tales come from?
Some of the stories are very obvious! For example, the first is called “Ode To The Scrump” which is about the joy of finding wild fruit such as apples.
This poem came to me when I remembered a Star Memory getting a lift to school many years ago with my friend. His dad was driving along and he pointed to a short three foot high garden wall and said “I saw an apple tree there when I was a schoolboy. I thought I’d hop over it and steal an apple, not realising it was a six foot drop on the otherside.”
I remember laughing a lot at this unfortunate mistake, but never did I think I was going to write a poem about it 30 years later!
Who knows, maybe a child reader will always check the drop now before hopping over a wall!
Another example, the “Blue Man In The Mirror” story idea came from using the Fairy Tale Formula to help me stop procrastinating over a certain job I had been putting off for months.
I thought that procrastination was holding me back, but when I zoomed out from my life a little, I released that whilst I had been procrastinating about doing this “one job”, I had actually been achieving a lot of other things in different areas of my life.
Just realising this gave me a huge energy shift - and I actually completed my “one job” a few days after writing the fairy tale!
Time To Sleep
Q) What do you want people to take away from reading this book?
I want to help reconnect people with the magical world that is all around them.
I want my readers to smile, laugh and feel their energy increasing as they read the words and look at the pictures.
I want to help nurture precious star moments between parents and children.
I want to give permission to everyone, young and old, to write their own Stories, Poems & Fairy Tales!
