** Article: Why Events Psychology is Useful & Necessary for Energy Psychology by Silvia Hartmann
AMT Director Silvia Hartmann writes: “I am currently helping to archive some materials from the early days of energy psychology and energy therapies and came across this statement by one of the leading pioneers in the field: 'There are typically between 700 and 1900 emotional roots to any specific problem in adults, and somewhat fewer in children.'
Events Psychology states that instead of there being 'typically between 700 and 1900 emotional roots to any specific problem in adults' there is exactly one.”
We are really excited about the release of three new books in the next month, and think that you will be equally as excited!
The first, Excel at Sports: Be the Best at Sports, Business & Life with NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming by Jimmy Petruzzi, is a guide to getting the best out of yourself and others, in whatever your chosen field, by using cutting edge NLP techniques.
Excel at Sports is published by DragonRising and will be released March 28th:
Next up is EMO: Emotions, Energy, Information & Love by GoE Director Silvia Hartmann. This is the brand new replacement for Oceans of Energy, which has been completely re-written from the ground up and is, according to one early review, "an excellent introduction to the art and science of EMO and a great way to learn it".
Finally is True Happiness: Your Complete Guide to Emotional Health by Dr. Mark Atkinson. Dr. Atkinson was one of our headline presenters at the 2010 EFT & Energy Psychology Conference, and his new book True Happiness is a fantastic guide to emotional health.
True Happiness is published by Piatkus and will be released on 7th April:
** Article: Dromophobia – Fear of Crossing the Road by Joyce Waring
Joyce Waring, an Advanced GoE Practitioner with many years experience, was recently visited by a lady who had an unusual fear of crossing the street.
Joyce writes: “I recently had a lady come to see me this morning who had panic attacks even at the thought of crossing the road. Her mum had wanted her to come and see me for quite a while, but she finally came this morning.
Sally was so stressed and panicked at the mere thought of crossing the road that she stood in front of me and shook and sobbed. Her breathing was extremely laboured and her face was almost blood red. I had intended to re-align her Chakras first and then lead onto EMO for the panic attacks but never got that far because she was so distressed. On a scale of 1 to 10 she was up at 40/50!”
** Article: Energy Therapies – Old & New by Catherine Dixon
This great article from Cathy Dixon discusses the merits of combining the old and the new, more specifically Chi Kung and new therapies such as EFT.
Catherine Dixon writes: “Chi Kung’s profound heritage and wisdom provides the New Meridian Energy Techniques with gravitas and a working model of energy that has not been surpassed for thousands of years. Meridian Energy Therapies provide Chi Kung with a new context and practical relevance. This is a powerful alliance with much potential.”
** Article: Tapping into Feelings – Using Positive Visualisation with EFT by Wendy Beresford
Wendy Beresford writes: “When I first started training as an EFT Practitioner, I was amazed at how effective it was and how quickly I could get results on a variety of issues. After a while, however, I tried to apply the technique to uncover and release limiting subconscious beliefs that I felt may be holding me back in my everyday life.
I quickly found that although I could identify some of my general behaviours or thought patterns that may need updating, I struggled to contact any feelings about them. Without feelings that I could give a rating to, I found I was only dealing with the symptoms of my issues rather than resolving them at the core.”
