How To: Explaining Energy & Emotions to 12-18 Year Olds by Kelly BurchTeenagers can be a difficult group to teach at the best of times, and something as intangible as Energy and emotions even more so. Kelly Burch, an EFT Master Practitioner from Australia, has written a great article on how to explain these important areas to this important age group, and has also included a fantastic poem for use with younger children. Kelly writes: A good friend of mine has an autistic daughter who is a young 18 year old. One of her main challenges is to do with handling her emotions in productive ways instead of lashing out, hiding away or making inappropriate choices. I thought that explaining what emotions are and how we can use them to help us would benefit her, but also benefit many others who feel bound or stuck by emotions. This is based on the beautiful and simple Emotrance technique by Silvia Hartmann. Links:
EFT & EMO Case Story: The Unfloding of a Guiding Star by Suheyla Pinar-AlperEMO & EFT Master Practitioner Suheyla Pinar-Alper from Turkey writes: This an account of a combined session (two hours) of EFT and Emotrance with the unfolding of a guiding star event. My client came in with intense back and neck pain. She left totally relaxed, pain-free and smiling. She was a 42 year-old professional woman, married and mother of a 4-year old. She came to me suffering from intensive back pain, neck pain and stiffness. She had been receiving physiotherapy since September. On the Sue Scale she described her state as a minus 5. Links: Emotrance - Learn to Live in the Now and Feel Great! by Guillermo PeรฑaEnergist & EMO Trainer Guillermo Pena writes: The gift of doing Emotrance is that we know we are never captive, regardless of appearance in any given unwanted moment; we are only temporarily "stuck" in a situation. Our true nature is not designed to be a captive of anything, and it is never the unwanted situation itself that has us stuck; it is that we are unknowingly hung up in habitual thoughts and feelings about our situation. To learn to live in the Now we must regularly do the basics of Emotrance, andย which will help us clearly perceive that our aim is to remember that who we really are cannot be confined by dark thoughts or feelings anymore! Itโs all Energy! Emotrance is a true (spiritual) Energy technique, working only in the present moment. We have a strong tendency to travel out of the real reality with metaphors and fantasies and a general thought that the habitual darkstates that have been misguiding us up to now will not give up their place at the steering wheel of our soul without a struggle. Beautifully, Emotrance only workd with Energy, Here in the Now, within the light of our awareness and gives us a newly awakened state to give us its identity. Be the rediscovered you, that sees the moment as it is -- instead of being deceived into seeing you stealing your life! Not any one, or, any given circumstances, are defining and limiting you by bringing yourself back into the great and unconditioned Now. Links: EFT Case Story: I Can't Talk About It โ Can I Still Get Help? by Helen SandersEFT Master Practitioner Helen Sanders has put together a case study in which the client is able to relieve great stress and pain that has built up over the years, without the need to talk about the issues. Helen writes: Heather really did not want to talk about the issue that was causing problems, and this was one of the reasons she had not gone for help before. It was an obvious relief for her that EFT would not involve this when using the body protocol. I could sense the relief from Heather as she relaxed when I explained this. Links: Competition: The Best Thing About Being An Energist โ Xmas 2012 WinnersJust before Christmas 2012 we launched our annual Christmas competition. The lucky winners were drawn at random from all the brilliant entries, and all they had to do was answer the simple question: What is the best thing about being an Energist? The winning entry was: "The main thing would be rekindling attributes I had as a child. When friends or siblings felt low I would hold their hand and I would feel a lot of warmth coming through mine into their hand. They would say it made them feel better. At the time I didn't classify myself as an Energist because I didn't know the word back then. Years past and I learned there were various ways to connect via Reiki and EFT as well as intuitively through my psychotherapeutic practice. The best thing would be the connectedness I can feel through the work I do with the fellow souls that come into my realm whether in person or online."
