EmoTrance & The Joy Principle

A story from Gatwick:

At the end of the practitioner day, we always do an energy evocation of "I am the healer".

This is clearly a specific form of energy and specific state, and to be able to just *think that* and soar straight into the requisite space required for healing is of course, a great bonus.

But that's not the story.

People who are new to EmoTrance, and the new practitioners are new to EmoTrance, haven't quite understood yet how the "energised end state" really works or what that means.

They've experienced some examples for themselves, saw and felt it with other people, but a lifetime's worth of entrainment that you have to compromise all the time and that "so so" is the best a human can get takes a while to be completely overcome. People also tend to think still that there are only CERTAIN energies that will produce an energised end state, and others won't because they are somehow different.

And that would be the "it's only an energy" principle.

So, at the end of the practitioner day, I'm leading the group in "I am the healer" from the stage.

I've had them say it a few times, and encouraged the people to have the energy flow freely, to heal what needs to be healed in order to have that be so.

But after three repetitions, it still sounds like a chorus of doom - so SERIOUS, so HEAVY, so ... catholic, pardon the metaphor.

So I said to them, "Guys look, this is only an energy. Moreover, being a healer isn't some great big burden you lug around with yourself as though you had the telephone directories of the world strapped to your head, back and shoulders!

"Healing is ENERGY. It is JOYOUS, it is LIGHT, it is total blessing either way.

"Let's try that again ..."

"I am the healer."

Now, we have some smiles starting to spread amongst the group.

Now, we start to have some movement as some drop their heads and others begin to shake out their hands, flex their backs, their shoulders.

"Ok! You're starting to get the hang of this.

"I am the healer!"

And this time, it started to sound and feel a whole lot more like, "I've WON THE LOTTERY! WHOOHOO!"

The truth is that HOLY things are JOYOUS in nature.

Ecstatic, in fact.

That's how they lift you up, make you happy, make you strong, make you feel at home and ALIVE.

Whatever the energy you need to raise before you step out there to do YOUR thing, and truly, whatever that is, it is that delighted, "Wow! I've won the lottery! I'm so blessed that I am allowed to do this! This is my lucky day!!!" energy that is the best and most effective all around, that makes you buzz, that makes you the best you can be right there and in the moment.


I am the priest.

I am the mother.

I am the salesman.

I am the performer.

I am writer.

I am the hypnotherapist.

I am the policeman.

I am the cook.


All different energies, and all different states BUT they all have in common that WHEN THE ENERGY REALLY FLOWS FREELY through your person, RUSHES fast and liquid light, you are so immeasurably empowered - and it is PURE JOY.

It sets you free and it makes you so strong, so compassionate, so clear in your mind, it is wonderful.

Go for THAT.

Don't take second best.

Keep trying for THAT, in all your energy evocations, in all your energy work, and let the experiences THAT produces INSIDE OF YOU literally:

RE-WRITE YOUR HISTORY

... and your beliefs about the world, about suffering, about inequity, about what you can or thought you couldn't do.

Allow yourself to be amazed, as we round here ALWAYS are, again and again, how much easier, better, finer, more delightful EVERYTHING can become when we have put to rights what once went wrong, and energy flows once more as it was designed to do by the Creative Order.

The first time the guys at Gatwick said, "I am a healer" it sounded like a death sentence.

After a bit of EmoTrance, "I am a healer" became JOY and it sounded as though they were really happy about that, delighted, inspired. There was brightness, proactive energy, POTENTIAL in the room, absolutely.

That's a principle, and so important not just for healers.

It makes all the difference in every way, every day, on every level.

You catch yourself saying "I'm married" and it DOESN'T sound like you've won the lottery, well, it's time for EmoTrance.

Because when you are in a state of joy, of Even Flow, there isn't a single thing on this planet, in this life, that doesn't become easier, better, more manageable, less fearsome, less burdensome and more joyous and brighter all around.

By remembering that, and just TRYING FOR IT, we change our worlds and literally so.

And we create experiences that heal us of our pasts, in an instance.
